Erica Badgeley

 
 

Erica Badgeley is a Seattle born and based dance artist with extensive experience dancing professionally in Europe. Her work has been presented at many US festivals, as well as venues in Brussels and Salzburg. She has performed and collaborated in the US with: Alisa Popova, Cameo Lethem, Lucie Baker, Coleman (now Chartreuse) Pester, Elia Mrak, Daniel Agami, Kate Wallich | The YC, Tonya Lockyer, Jeffrey Fracé, PNB, ACT Theater, and more. In 2020/2021 she choreographed and edited the dance film version of "Heritance," a project envisioned and costumed by Margaret Chodos-Irvine (vimeo.com/ericabadgeley). She holds a BA in Dance from the University of Washington, Postgraduate in Performance from SEAD, Salzburg, and has been a certified  GYROTONIC® trainer since 2010, currently teaching at Seattle Changing Room. She was a co-founder of Sh*t Gold Open Mic, and recently started a new Open Performance Night, "Short Shorts," with Alisa Popova (@short__shorts__ on Instagram). She is also a practitioner of aikido (3rd kyu), a modern Japanese martial art, and this summer she began teaching aikido to youth in Seattle.
